Turkish forces tighten grip on PKK in northern Iraq, uncover terrorist depots VIDEO
Turkish Armed Forces are intensifying their campaign against PKK terrorists in northern Iraq.
The PKK has seized numerous villages in northern Iraq, engaging in destructive acts like setting fire to residential areas and establishing ammunition depots within village centres, endangering civilian lives, Caliber.Az reports quoting the Turkish National Defence Ministry's post on X.
Irak’ın kuzeyindeki onlarca köyü işgal eden, köyleri ateşe veren ve sivil halkın hayatını hiçe sayarak köy merkezlerinde mühimmat depoları oluşturan ve bunları havaya uçuran terör örgütü PKK, insanlık dışı hareket etmeye devam ediyor.

Recognizing the efficacy of ongoing Turkish military operations, the PKK has resorted to storing ammunition near mosques in villages spanning the area between Metina and Gapnerk Mountain.
Previously, similar ammunition depots were discovered near mosques in Dergele village, which were later destroyed by the PKK.
Recent reports reveal additional ammunition depots discovered around a mosque in Misk village, containing substantial amounts of explosives, ammunition, and weaponry stored in a house near the shrine.
Local authorities and Peshmerga forces have been briefed on the presence of these converted ammunition depots.
The Turkish military, in its operations, is prioritizing safety measures to protect local residents while dismantling these threats.
Additionally, Turkish Armed Forces have reported neutralizing 11 PKK terrorists in the Hakurk and Gara regions of northern Iraq.
