Turkish, Kazakh presidents discuss Gaza conflict
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has held a telephone conversation with Kazakh President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev.
During the talks, Tokayev congratulated Erdogan on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Turkish Foreign Ministry's X account.
The two leaders also discussed the latest situation in the conflict between Israel and Palestine, Türkiye's efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and Israel's human rights violations.
President Erdogan said that steps that can be taken to ensure a ceasefire and prevent the conflict from spreading should be discussed in detail at the Organization of Turkish States Summit in Astana.
Erdogan also expressed condolences to Tokayev in connection with the mine accident that occurred in the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan.
