Putin to address media in Dushanbe following three-day visit to Tajikistan
Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to hold a press conference in Dushanbe on October 10 after completing his official visit to Tajikistan, a TASS correspondent reports.
Preparations for the president’s media appearance are already underway. Journalists have begun gathering at the “Kokhi Somon” governmental residence in the Tajik capital, which earlier hosted multilateral meetings involving the heads of Central Asian and other CIS member states.
According to the report, Russian flags and a lectern bearing the national emblem have been placed in one of the residence halls, while television crews are setting up broadcast equipment for the event.
Putin spent three days in Tajikistan, where he participated in state-level meetings and talks with the country’s leadership. During his visit, the Russian president also attended summit sessions within the Russia–Central Asia and CIS frameworks.
In addition, Putin held his first full-scale bilateral meeting in a year with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, discussing issues of mutual interest and regional cooperation.
