Armenian PM, EU commissioner discuss new partnership agenda in Brussels
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and European Union Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos discussed the new Armenia-EU partnership agenda and the implementation of its ambitious strategic actions during their meeting in Brussels, the Armenian government’s press service.
The sides reviewed upcoming tasks and prospects for deepening cooperation, emphasising that in recent years, Armenia-EU relations have acquired new depth and quality, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.
Pashinyan praised the EU’s consistent support for the effective implementation of institutional reforms in Armenia and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to adopting EU standards across all sectors.
In turn, Kos highlighted the EU’s readiness to continue steps to strengthen and expand ties with Armenia in various areas. Both parties expressed satisfaction with the effective dialogue on visa liberalisation, noting significant progress in this direction.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on opportunities created in the region as a result of the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), widely referred to as the Zangezur Corridor.
