Turkish police officers detain over 50 members of organised crime groups VIDEO
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has written that the measures were simultaneously carried out against five organised crime groups as part of Operation Kuyu-5 in four Turkish provinces.
“Some 57 suspects who were members of organised crime groups, along with the leaders, were detained during the Kuyu-5 operation carried out in Hatay, Ankara, Cankiri and Konya,” Caliber.Az reports citing the minister’s message on X.

Among the detained leaders are Omer Kartopu in the centre of Hatay, Ali Ak - in Iskenderun, Alper Aksoy - in Ankara, Recep Armagan - in Cankiri, Faris Chokkainar (in prison) - in Konya.
“Numerous unlicensed weapons, drugs and bank checks, as well as a lot of money were seized as a result of search operations,” the message said.
Earlier, Türkiye dismantled another organised criminal group.
The operation against the organised crime group was carried out simultaneously in seven provinces of the country.
A total of 109 members of the group were detained, including its leaders - Ozai Cetin and Mert Cetin.
