Türkiye aims to enhance cooperation with BRICS President Erdogan says
Türkiye “sincerely” seeks to improve its cooperation with the BRICS group, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated.
During a gathering of Justice and Development (AK) Party officials in Ankara, Erdogan expressed his belief that the ongoing BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia, will be pivotal in strengthening Türkiye's ties with the bloc, Caliber.Az reports citing Turkish media.
Leaders from BRICS countries are arriving in Kazan for the summit, with approximately 22 heads of state and six heads of international organizations anticipated to attend.
Erdogan is set to arrive on October 23 as a guest at the three-day summit, which features longstanding members Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, as well as recent additions Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates.
