Türkiye hosts 4th diplomacy forum under theme “Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World”
The 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF2025) has opened in the resort town of Belek, in Türkiye’s southern province of Antalya, under the theme “Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World”
The three-day gathering brings together around 450 delegates from 140 countries, including heads of state, ministers, diplomats, scholars and representatives of civil society, with the aim of fostering dialogue and exploring solutions to global and regional conflicts, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Among the key attendees is Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who arrived in Türkiye on April 10 at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The interim President of Syria, Ahmad al-Sharaa, is also present and is expected to take part in several sessions and hold bilateral meetings on the sidelines.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov is scheduled to hold talks with his Turkish and Russian counterparts, Hakan Fidan and Sergey Lavrov, respectively.
ADF2025 will feature nearly 50 sessions in varying formats, addressing a wide spectrum of issues ranging from the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific to Africa and Latin America. Broader topics such as climate change, counterterrorism and humanitarian challenges will also be discussed.
A prominent panel will focus on "Challenges and Opportunities for Regional Cooperation in the South Caucasus", bringing together the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia—Jeyhun Bayramov, Maka Bochorishvili and Ararat Mirzoyan. The discussion will delve into ongoing regional developments, existing obstacles and prospects for sustainable and inclusive growth amidst global instability.
Special attention is expected to be paid to matters directly tied to Ankara’s foreign policy priorities. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is due to take part in a contact group meeting on Gaza, organised by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League. He will also participate in a trilateral meeting with his Bosnian and Croatian counterparts, as well as a high-level security dialogue with Iraqi officials.
The forum is being held at the Nest Congress Centre, located near the Mediterranean coast in Belek. Heightened security measures are in place, including patrols by the Turkish Coast Guard off the Belek shoreline.
According to organisers, over 20 heads of state and government are attending ADF2025, alongside two parliamentary speakers, 74 ministers, 23 deputy ministers and 11 MPs—primarily from Arab and African countries. Delegates also include European and Middle Eastern NGOs, academics, humanitarian actors and business representatives. The event is being covered by roughly 1,000 journalists from 50 countries.
