Türkiye has launched the production of new torpedoes and missile systems.

Contracts have been signed in Türkiye for the production of new torpedoes and missile systems, APA reports citing CNN Turk.

AKYA heavy torpedo, ATMACA cruise missile and SAPAN anti-aircraft missile will strengthen the power of the Turkish Air Force.

While speaking at the signing ceremony, Turkish National Defence Minister Yasar Guler said that strong naval forces are the requirement of time.

The contract signing ceremony for naval torpedoes and missile systems was held at the initiative of the leadership of the Turkish Ministry of Defence Industry to meet the needs of the Navy command.

Turkish Minister of National Defence Yasar Guler, President of Defence Industry Agency Haluk Gorgun, Commander of the Turkish Naval Forces, Admiral Ercument Tatliglu and others attended the ceremony.
