Türkiye starts production of METE mini-rocket PHOTO/VIDEO
Turkish defence company Roketsan has decided to start mass production of METE mini-missiles.
Roketsan is preparing to make its mark in the field of armed drones, which have become even more popular after the Ukrainian-Russian war, Caliber.Az reports via SavunmaSanayiST.com on Twitter.

Having developed the METE missile for this purpose - only 40 millimetres in diameter and 50 centimetres long - Roketsan will soon make the METE available on the battlefield. The company developed a fuse with the smallest ammunition capacity, a flight engine, a propulsion control system and, most importantly, a laser-homing head.
METE, which is an almost miniature rocket with a calibre of 40 millimetres, is planned to be used on drones and BARKAN unmanned ground vehicles. There are also tests of a mini-rocket for firing from a hand grenade launcher.
A METE missile with a range of more than 1 kilometre and a weight of 1.4 kilograms can hit a target with an accuracy of one metre.
Thanks to the semi-active laser homing head on the METE missile, it accurately aims at the marked target. METE can be used by one person without the need for any other support staff.
