Two Jewish men stabbed in north London in apparent targeted attack
Two people have been stabbed in north London after a man with a knife was seen running down the high street, seemingly attempting to stab Jewish people in the area.
The attack occurred on April 29, with Shomrim, the Jewish community security organisation, revealing that they responded immediately and had already detained a suspect, Caliber.Az reports citing British media.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called the incident "deeply concerning," adding the country needs to be "absolutely clear in our determination to deal with any of these offences, the likes of which we've seen too much recently".
The two victims are being treated by Hatzola, an independent ambulance service for members of the Jewish community. It is based in the capital's Golders Green district, where the stabbings took place. Several ambulance vehicles were set on fire last month, across the road from the latest incident.
The area has a large Jewish population, with 2021 census data recording that about half of its 15,000 residents identified with the Jewish faith.
