UK Parliamentary Under Secretary of State to visit Azerbaijan

UK Parliamentary Under Secretary of State in the Department of Business and Trade Malcolm Offord will visit Azerbaijan.

Malcolm Offord is scheduled to attend the sixth session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UK, a diplomatic source told Trend.

The UK has become the largest individual investor in Azerbaijan over the past three decades. Between 1995 and 2022, the UK's investments in Azerbaijan exceeded 84 billion US dollars, resulting in a total foreign direct investment of 280 billion dollars. In 2022, annual trade between the two countries amounted to 1.2 billion pounds sterling.
