17 February 2025 15:37

Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Yuriy Husyev and the leadership of the Azerbaijan State Maritime Academy have discussed opportunities for cooperation in the field of education.

“Ambassador of Ukraine Husyev met with the leadership of Azerbaijan State Maritime Academy to discuss cooperation with Ukrainian universities, focusing on Kherson State Maritime Academy. Key topics: joint conferences, student & teacher exchanges, dual degrees,” Caliber.Az reports via the message posted on the embassy’s page on X.

Earlier, Husyev expressed heartfelt gratitude to Azerbaijan for its continued support through regular humanitarian aid. Husyev announced that Azerbaijan had sent another batch of assistance to Ukraine, including cables and energy equipment valued at $1 million.

“Azerbaijan has sent a new batch of humanitarian aid to Ukraine! A shipment of cables and energy equipment, funded by a $1 million allocation from President Ilham Aliyev, is on its way to help restore Ukraine’s power infrastructure. Grateful for Azerbaijan’s continued support!” he wrote.

Since 2022, Azerbaijan has contributed over $40 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine, further solidifying its commitment to aiding in the country’s recovery and resilience amidst the ongoing conflict.
