Ukraine condemns massive Russian attack before Geneva talks
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has condemned a fresh large‑scale Russian attack, asserting that it reinforces the imperative of intensifying pressure on Moscow to bring an end to the war.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Sybiha said that the barrage of missile and drone strikes launched against Ukraine immediately ahead of a crucial round of talks with Russia in Geneva underscores the Kremlin’s disregard for diplomatic efforts.
The foreign minister’s comments come as Ukrainian and Russian delegations prepare for upcoming negotiations, which Kyiv hopes will yield tangible steps toward de‑escalation.
The extent to which Russia disregards peace efforts: a massive missile and drone strike against Ukraine right before the next round of talks in Geneva. Main targets — energy and civilian infrastructure.

“The extent to which Russia disregards peace efforts: a massive missile and drone strike against Ukraine right before the next round of talks in Geneva. Main targets — energy and civilian infrastructure.
Moscow only understands the language of pressure. It will not take diplomacy seriously if it is not backed by strength.
New sanctions packages are critical. Blocking shadow fleet. Maritime services ban. Entry ban for participants of Russian aggression.
Only our unity and strength will bring an end to this war,” the post by the minister reads.
