Ukraine downs over 100 drones in overnight Russian attack
Ukraine’s air defence forces said they shot down more than 100 drones during a large-scale overnight Russian attack, while also intercepting guided missiles, as the aerial assault continued into the morning.
According to the release by the Ukrainian Air Force, Russian forces launched a combined strike beginning on the evening of July 10, deploying six Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, four Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles, two Kh-31 anti-radiation missiles and 121 strike drones of various types.
Ukraine said its response involved multiple branches, including aviation, surface-to-air missile units, electronic warfare forces, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups.

As of 08:30, Ukrainian officials reported that two Kh-59/69 missiles and 111 drones had been neutralised. However, they also confirmed impacts from ballistic missiles, two guided air-launched missiles and seven strike drones across 11 locations, with debris reported at three additional sites.
The outcome of the two Kh-31 anti-radiation missiles was still being clarified. No immediate information on damage or casualties was available at the time of reporting.
The Ukrainian Air Force said the air attack was ongoing, with several drones still airborne.
