Ukraine repels Russian attacks near 15 settlements

On 27 December, the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled enemy attacks near 15 populated areas.

According to Ukrayinska Pravda, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has disseminated the information in the operational update.

"Over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched a missile strike and carried out 33 rocket launchers, in particular at civilian facilities in the city of Kherson.

The danger of enemy air and missile strikes on the critical infrastructure of the country remains throughout Ukraine.

The enemy continues to conduct offensives in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions and attempts to improve the tactical situation in the Liman direction.

Our servicemen repulsed attacks by the occupants in the areas of Ploshchanka and Chervonopopovka in the Luhansk region and Spirne, Yakovlevka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Podgorodne, Andriivka, Klischeevka, Avdiivka, Vodyane, Maryinka, Pobeda and Zolota Nyva in Donetsk Region.

The situation remains stable in the Volyn, Polissya, Siversk, and Slobozhanskyi directions, with no signs of the formation of offensive groups.

In other directions, the enemy defends previously occupied positions and concentrates its efforts on deterring the actions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

In the Siversk and Slobozhanskyi directions, shelling occurred in the settlements of Mefedovka, Tolstodubovo, and Volkovka in the Sumy Region, as well as Glubokoye, Staritsa, Ogirtsevo, and Volchansk in the Kharkiv Region.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Novomolynsk, Tavilzhanka, Dvurechnoye, Kupyansk, Tabayevka, Krohmalne, Berestove and Pervomayske in the Kharkiv region and Novoselovskoye, Stelmakhovka and Kolomiychikha in Luhansk region.

In the Liman direction, Ploshchanka and Dibrova in the Luhansk region, as well as Yampolovka, Torske, and Hryhoriyivka in Donetsk region were subjected to fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Spirne, Berestovoye, Bilogorovka, Soledar, Podgorodne, Bakhmut, Chasov Yar, Opytne, Stupochki, Kleshcheevka, Andriivka, Bila Hora, Aleksandro-Shultino, Kurdyumovka, Ozarianovka, Mayorsk, and New York in Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy fired at the districts of Vodyane, Pervomayskoye, Marinka, and Novomikhailovka in the Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlovsk direction, fire struck Ugledar, Novoukrainka, Prechistovka, Zolotaya Niva, Vremovka, and Velyka Novoselka of the Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhya direction, tank and rocket artillery fire was recorded in the areas of Temirovka, Olhivske, Poltavka, Malynivka, Dorozhnyanka, Bilohorye, Malaya Tokmachka, Novodanilovka, Novoandriivka, Shcherbaki, Kamenske and Plavni, Zaporizhzhya region.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy continues mortar and artillery shelling of settlements along the right bank of the Dnieper River. In particular, Chervonogryivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region; Antonivka in the Kherson region, and the city of Kherson were hit. There are civilian casualties," the update says.
