Ukraine’s Zelenskyy holds talks with Dutch PM on military aid and EU path VIDEO
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived at the official residence of Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof.
“Of course, I want to discuss with you what we should focus on and what is most important for us — joint drone production. We now see that this is a priority for the world. It is well known that the level of technology in Ukraine has significantly advanced during the war. We have these technologies and want to share them with our partners,” Zelenskyy said during a joint press appearance with Schoof, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
The president also thanked the Netherlands for the announced aid package.
“This will be very useful for us on the battlefield as well as for our domestic production,” Zelenskyy added.
He further noted that he plans to discuss with the Dutch prime minister the clusters related to Ukraine’s EU accession.
Since 2022, the Netherlands has emerged as one of Ukraine’s leading European supporters, providing over €10.4 billion in military aid, with €9.5 billion delivered, committed, or under negotiation by December 2024. This places the Netherlands among the top European donors relative to its size, surpassed only by larger nations like Germany, the UK, and Poland. Dutch aid spans military, humanitarian, reconstruction, and justice efforts, reflecting a multifaceted approach to supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and resilience.
