Ukraine says Russian helicopter, five cruise missiles shot down

The Ukrainian Air Force shot down a Russian Ka-52 helicopter and five Kh-101 cruise missiles fired from the Caspian Sea.

"At around 0800 [0500 gmt] on 6 September, the anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force destroyed five of the six Kh-101 cruise missiles in Ukraine's south and east, fired from Tu-95MS aircraft from the Caspian Sea region," the Air Force said on Telegram.

Four Kh-101 missiles were shot down over Mykolayiv Region, according to the Ukrainian army's Operational Command South.
