Ukraine to become largest recipient of Swedish aid in 2023

Swedish Foreign Trade Minister Johan Forssell has said that Ukraine in 2023 will become the country that will receive the most assistance from Sweden.

He made the remarks in an interview with the newspaper Dagens Nyheter.

"I think next year Ukraine will be the largest recipient of Swedish aid. This is a historic change. It will happen immediately. And for good reason," he said.

Earlier, Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billstrom announced that the Swedish Civil Protection Authority had sent over 180 tons of generators and transformers to Ukraine.

According to him, Sweden intends to continue assisting the Ukrainian side in all areas.
