Ukrainian forces continue training in Poland under EU mission
Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel are continuing their training in Poland as part of the EU Military Assistance Mission of Ukraine (EUMAM).
The training is conducted under the guidance of the Combined Arms Training Command (CAT) and is entirely practical in nature, Caliber.Az reports, citing the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The training program focuses on enhancing the survivability and operational effectiveness of Ukrainian units in modern combat conditions. Exercises are designed to closely simulate real battlefield scenarios and emphasise the development of skills needed on the frontlines.
A key component of the course is firearms training. Soldiers are improving their dynamic shooting techniques and learning to operate effectively in various conditions and tactical situations. Special attention is also given to engineer-sapper training, where personnel learn safe handling of pyrotechnic devices, as well as procedures for laying and clearing mines.
The program’s “battlefield medicine” module includes intensive medical evacuation exercises. Personnel practice operating under enemy fire and stabilising wounded soldiers directly on the battlefield. In addition, the training covers technical equipment handling, including the operation and basic maintenance of weapons and military equipment provided to Ukraine by Western partners.
According to officials, this comprehensive approach allows Ukrainian servicemen and women to acquire critically important skills that directly impact their ability to complete combat missions and save lives in the combat zone.
