UNESCO event features Azerbaijan’s cultural traditions, silk road role
Elements of Azerbaijan’s national cultural heritage were presented at UNESCO headquarters in Paris during the event titled Heritage, Travel and Traditions of the Silk Roads: A Journey of Intercultural Dialogue, Azerbaijan’s Permanent Delegation to UNESCO, has stated.
It said, in a post on X, that the event showcased different aspects of the country’s rich cultural traditions, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

Held at UNESCO headquarters on the occasion of the International Day of Dialogue among Civilisations, the program focused on cultural exchange along the Silk Roads.
The Permanent Delegation also noted that during the high-level panel session From Heritage to Experience: Connecting the Silk Roads Today, Ambassador Elman Abdullayev spoke about Azerbaijan’s historical role along the Silk Roads and emphasised the importance of cultural heritage.
He also highlighted intercultural dialogue and connectivity as key factors in strengthening mutual understanding and bringing people closer together.
