UNESCO inscribes Azerbaijan's tea culture in Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity List

The traditional tea culture of Azerbaijan has been included in the UNESCO Intangible Heritage List.

The nomination initiated by Azerbaijan was adopted at the 17th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO, Caliber.Az informs.

“Multinational cultural element of "Culture of Çay (tea), a symbol of identity, hospitality and social interaction" jointly prepared by Azerbaijan and Türkiye was inscribed to the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) of Humanity in the 17th session of Committee for Safeguarding of ICH,” the National Commission of Azerbaijan for UNESCO tweeted.
