UNICEF offers to launch medical services in Karabakh
The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has made a proposal to Azerbaijan’s Management Unit of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) in connection with the launch of medical services in Karabakh.
The issue was discussed at a meeting between TABIB Chairman Vugar Gurbanov and UNICEF Representative to Azerbaijan Alex Heikens on December 26, according to Report.
The meeting focused on issues such as strengthening the capacity of health workers and creating a mechanism for their sustainable professional development, including online and hybrid professional development courses, etc.
Alex Heikens, head of UNICEF Azerbaijan, proposed to launch the "Universal Progressive Model of Patronage Service" project in the Karabakh region, which has been successfully implemented in several regions.
For its part, TABIB praised the proposal and discussed adding the village of Agali in the Zangilan district to the project.
In conclusion, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between TABIB and UNICEF.
