Uruguayan media praises Azerbaijan’s role as cultural bridge
A Uruguayan publication, Diario La R, has highlighted Azerbaijan’s growing role as a cultural bridge between East and West, according to an article dedicated to a recent delegation visit to UNESCO headquarters in Paris led by Azerbaijani Minister of Culture Adil Karimli.
The article states that the preservation of Azerbaijan’s monumental, archaeological, and documentary heritage is treated as a key state priority that extends beyond national boundaries, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
It notes that the Azerbaijani delegation’s engagements in Paris reinforce Baku’s position as a historic link between Eastern and Western cultures.
The publication also emphasises that Azerbaijan actively uses multilateral diplomacy platforms to strengthen its international influence and promote initiatives focused on peace, stability, and intercultural understanding through art, education, and cultural diversity.
It further underlines that the visit led by Minister Karimli is significant for advancing long-term cooperation in socially important areas, including the protection of cultural heritage in vulnerable regions and the expansion of global humanitarian collaboration networks.
