US space plane to fly over Russia's circumpolar regions
The US Air Force's X-37B reusable unmanned spacecraft, due to be launched this week, will fly over the circumpolar regions of Russia, according to expert Marco Langbruco's assumptions.
His data says that the X-37B will be placed in an elliptical orbit tens of thousands of miles above the Earth's surface.
The launch of X-37B was announced the day before. CNN reported that the spacecraft would be carried into orbit by SpaceX's Falcon Heavy rocket.
This will be the seventh experimental mission for the reusable space plane.
The US Air Force has provided few details about the objectives of this unmanned mission. Among the research on board will be a NASA experiment aimed at finding ways to provide life support for astronauts on future interplanetary missions.
