According to U.S. intelligence, the vessel was transporting narcotics along a well-known trafficking route in the Eastern Pacific. The strike resulted in the deaths of two individuals described as “narco-terrorists” who were on board the ship. No U.S. personnel were harmed in the operation.
“We will find and terminate every vessel with the intention of trafficking drugs to America to poison our citizens. Protecting the homeland is our top priority. No cartel terrorist stands a chance against the American military,” Hegseth declared.
