New strikes and interceptions reported across Persian Gulf region
Iranian state media reported new strikes targeting American bases in Kuwait and Qatar early Saturday, as air defences across the Persian Gulf region continued intercepting missiles and drones.
According to Caliber.Az, authorities across several Gulf states reported a series of incidents involving interceptions, explosions, and security measures as tensions escalated.
In the United Arab Emirates, officials in Dubai said debris from a “successful interception” fell onto a building in the city centre. “No fire occurred, and there were no injuries,” Dubai’s press service said at around 7 a.m. local time.
Authorities confirmed that the incident caused by debris from a successful interception, which struck the façade of a building in central Dubai, has been fully contained. No fire occurred and no injuries were reported.

In Kuwait, the Iranian state-affiliated Tasnim News Agency reported via Telegram early Saturday that explosions had occurred at what it described as “American occupation bases.” The exact location and cause of the explosions have not been confirmed.
Meanwhile, the Iranian outlet IRIB News reported several explosions at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. Roughly 30 minutes later, Qatar’s Ministry of Defence said its air defences had intercepted a missile launched toward the country.

In Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Defence reported a series of aerial attacks and said its forces intercepted 12 drones and one ballistic missile launched toward the central Al Kharj area.

Authorities in Bahrain said air raid sirens sounded across the kingdom shortly after 1 a.m. local time. The Ministry of Interior urged residents to take shelter in the nearest safe place.

Separately, in Oman, the US Department of State ordered non-emergency US government personnel and their family members to leave the country late Friday evening for security reasons.
