US to add Iranian aircraft flying to Russia to violators register

The US Department of Commerce will add to the register of export control violators three cargo planes of Iranian airlines that have contracts with Russia.

According to Reuters, three Boeing 747 aircraft are planned to be included in the register. The planes reportedly belong to Mahan Air, Qeshm Fars Air, and Iran Air. Representatives of the US Department of Commerce claim that the mentioned ships flew to Russia, carrying various goods on board, including electronics. The department noted that so far only three aircraft performing such flights have been identified.

Reuters notes that 183 aircraft are now on the register of export control violators of the US department.
