Uzbek PM invites his Azerbaijani counterpart to Tashkent

Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov has said that the delegation of Uzbekistan, which was on an official visit to Azerbaijan on July 18-19, had witnessed the development of Azerbaijan in all areas thanks to the successfully implemented changes.

The remarks were made in a letter on the results of his visit to his Azerbaijani counterpart Ali Asadov, Azertag reports.

According to Aripov, during the meeting with President Ilham Aliyev he felt high determination of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan to strengthen and elevate friendship and fraternal relations between the two countries to a much higher level.

The Uzbekistani PM noted that high-level events held in Baku, current issues on the agenda, open and sincere negotiations would help develop mutually beneficial strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in the future.

He expressed confidence that the agreements reached in transport and logistics, energy, industrial cooperation, agriculture, cultural-humanitarian cooperation and other fields would be consistently implemented for the welfare of the two brotherly nations.

The Uzbekistani PM stated that they got acquainted with the construction works carried out in the city of Fuzuli, adding that this city would become one of the most interesting and beautiful places in Azerbaijan in the following years.

In his letter, Aripov also invited Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov to Uzbekistan.

Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan were established on October 2, 1995. The embassy of Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan was established in August 1996, while the embassy of Uzbekistan in Azerbaijan was opened in July 1998.

The friendly relations between the two countries are based on shared values and historical ties, as well as a number of joint statements and agreements signed during bilateral visits and meetings.
