Azerbaijan repatriates six citizens from Syria in humanitarian operation
The Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan has successfully repatriated six Azerbaijani citizens, two women and four children, from the Syrian Arab Republic as part of its ongoing humanitarian and reintegration efforts.
According to an official statement by the Foreign Ministry, the operation was the result of phased and coordinated measures implemented by relevant Azerbaijani state bodies. The identities, locations, and citizenship of the repatriated individuals were verified prior to their return, Caliber.Az reports.
A delegation of Azerbaijani officials traveled to Syria to facilitate the process and ensure that the repatriated citizens received initial medical and psychological examinations. Upon their arrival in Azerbaijan, comprehensive support measures were put in place to assist their social rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
During the mission, Azerbaijani representatives also held meetings with relevant Syrian authorities to discuss cooperation in the repatriation process.
The Azerbaijani government reaffirmed its commitment to continuing efforts aimed at repatriating Azerbaijani citizens, particularly women and children, who have become victims of armed conflicts abroad.
