Azerbaijan, Ukraine sign MoU to boost humanitarian demining cooperation

Azerbaijan’s National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) and Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SESU) have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand cooperation in the field of humanitarian demining.

The agreement was reached during the UMAC-2025 Conference in Tokyo. Ukraine’s ambassador to Baku, Yuriy Husev, highlighted the partnership on X, saying:

"During the UMAC-2025 Conference in Tokyo, ANAMA and the SESU_UA State Emergency Service of Ukraine signed an MoU to enhance cooperation in humanitarian demining. Grateful to our Azerbaijani partners for their support — together for safety and just peace!"
