Estonia sees Azerbaijan as key partner, says FM Tsahkna PHOTO
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna has described Azerbaijan as an important partner during his official visit to Baku, where he met with the Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Parliament), Sahiba Gafarova.
According to Caliber.Az, discussions focused on strengthening friendly relations and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
Both sides noted that regular visits and signed agreements have played a significant role in deepening bilateral ties.
Gafarova recalled her visit to Estonia three years ago, stressing the strong prospects for further cooperation. She also briefed the Estonian minister on her recent meetings in Washington and Geneva related to the process of normalising relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Tsahkna highlighted his earlier meeting with President Ilham Aliyev, during which the two discussed ways to enhance bilateral collaboration.
He underlined that Estonia views Azerbaijan as an important partner and is keen to develop comprehensive relations.
Both sides emphasised the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation and engagement on international platforms, including the activities of friendship groups.
