Uzbek president arrives in New York to attend UN General Assembly
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in New York, where he is scheduled to address the plenary session of the UN General Assembly.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev was met at the airport by New York Mayor Eric Adams, Chairman of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lamm and other officials, Caliber.Az reports, citing the website of the head of Uzbekistan.
"In accordance with the program of visit on September 19, the head of our state will make a report at the general debate of the plenary session of the United Nations General Assembly and present his vision on topical issues of the regional and global agenda.
On the margins of the main international political event of the year will also be held a summit of leaders of Central Asian countries and the United States, a number of bilateral meetings with heads of foreign states, heads of authoritative international organizations and leading American companies," the report said.
