Uzbekistan’s defence minister visits Azerbaijani military units PHOTO
Uzbekistan’s Defence Minister, Lieutenant-General Bakhodir Kurbanov, who was on an official visit to Azerbaijan, visited the military units of the Azerbaijani Air Force and the Navy, as well as the National Defence University, Caliber.Az reports citing the press service of the Defence Ministry.
Kurbanov, together with the Chief of Azerbaijan’s General Staff, Colonel-General Karim Valiyev, who accompanied him, laid flowers at the monument to martyrs erected on the territory of the military unit of the Navy and paid tribute to their memory.
After the briefing on the military unit, a practical acquaintance with the conditions created for the personnel took place.
The canteen, dormitory, administrative and service premises were visited, and detailed information was provided on weapons and other military equipment of the military unit.
The Uzbek delegation watched the demonstration drills of naval commandos.
Furthermore, Kurbanov visited the military unit of the Air Force unmanned aerial vehicles, viewed the conditions created there and was informed about the capabilities of combat weapons.
Then the guests visited the National Defence University. They were extensively briefed on the history, and activities of the university and the system of military education in general.
Uzbekistan’s defence minister wrote words of thanks to the Book of Memory of the university.
In conclusion, the guests, who arrived at the simulation centre equipped with modern equipment, got acquainted with the conditions created there for military personnel, and they were provided with detailed information about the activities of the centre.
