21 April 2022 14:26
Vagit Alekperov, co-owner, president and founder of Russia's largest private oil company, Lukoil, has decided to step down from his post and also step down from the board of directors, Lukoil said in a statement. Earlier, Alekperov came under British sanctions.
It is reported by TASS.
“Relevant resignations were sent today to the chairman of the board of directors of the company,” Lukoil said. The company noted that Alekperov is not a controlling shareholder, he directly owns only 3.12% of the shares, and also owns 5.43% through funds, which do not have voting rights.
