Witnesses testify in trial of Armenian national over Khankendi terrorism PHOTO
In the ongoing trial of Karen Hovhannisyan, accused of terrorism in Khankendi and other particularly serious crimes, witness testimonies have been heard.
The trial at the Ganja Court for Grave Crimes was presided over by Judge Natig Aliyev, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
During the court session, testimonies of victims and witnesses were heard. The next court hearing is scheduled for December 22.

Recall that on September 14 of this year, Karen Hovhannisyan, leaving his home, went to a forested area near the city of Khankendi, where he had previously hidden a Kalashnikov rifle with four magazines and five hand grenades. He aimed to approach the location of an event in the city. During an attempt by police officers to stop his actions, Hovhannisyan, offering armed resistance, opened fire with a rifle and threw three hand grenades. As a result of return fire, he was wounded and detained.
Hovhannisyan is charged under Articles 29, 120.2.3, 120.2.4, 120.2.7, 120.2.11 (attempted murder of two or more persons in connection with terrorist actions, committed in an especially dangerous manner while performing official duties), 214.2.3 (use of firearms and objects used as weapons in committing terrorism), 228.1 (illegal acquisition, storage, and carrying of firearms, their parts, and ammunition), and 315 (resistance and use of force against a representative of authority) of the Criminal Code.
