World Azerbaijanis issue statement on anti-terrorist measures in Garabagh
The Azerbaijani State Committee for Work with the Diaspora has said that world Azerbaijanis issued a statement regarding local anti-terrorism measures taken by the Azerbaijani army in the Garabagh region.
“We, Azerbaijanis living in foreign countries, and Azerbaijani diaspora organisations, regret that six more Azerbaijani citizens became victims of Armenia’s mine terror on September 19,” Report informs, citing the statement.
“In general, since the end of the second Karabakh war - from November 10, 2020 up till now, 320 Azerbaijani citizens have suffered as a result of explosion of mines produced in Armenia in 2020-2023. Some 67 of them were killed, 314 were wounded.
“We call on the countries and international organisations to influence Armenia to completely withdraw its illegal armed groups from the Azerbaijani territories, hand over maps of mines to Azerbaijan and sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan to ensure peace and stability in the region,” the statement said.
