Azerbaijani PM honours Uzbekistan’s Independence Monument during official visit photo
Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov has paid a visit to the Independence Monument in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The Azerbaijani prime minister was accompanied by Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov during the official visit, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers.
Asadov honoured the site by laying a wreath at the base of the monument, symbolising respect and the strengthening of bilateral ties between the two nations.
During the, Asadov met with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, with a key emphasis of their discussions being the mutual desire to elevate their relationship to an alliance level, signifying a deeper strategic partnership.
Asadov conveyed heartfelt greetings and good wishes from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to President Mirziyoyev. The high-level meeting focused on crucial matters aimed at further expanding and strengthening the existing ties between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the fruitful joint efforts made within the framework of the "Year of Economic Cooperation", highlighting the positive trajectory of their economic partnership. Looking ahead, officials underscored the critical importance of sustained close cooperation between their respective governments.
