Azerbaijan’s parliament speaker arrives in Russia for CIS assembly sessions

A parliamentary delegation led by Azerbaijan’s parliament speaker, Sahiba Gafarova, has arrived in the Russian Federation to participate in a meeting of the Council and the 60th plenary session of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

The press service of the Milli Majlis said Gafarova was received at Pulkovo Airport in Saint Petersburg by officials, including representatives of the Saint Petersburg Committee for External Relations, the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Secretariat, Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Russia, and other senior officials.

The visit includes participation in the Council meeting and the 60th plenary session of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.
