Ukraine’s envoy hosts new South Korean ambassador to boost partnership
Ukraine’s Ambassador to Baku, Yuriy Husyev, held talks with South Korea’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Kang Kymgu, regarding bilateral cooperation between Kyiv and Seoul.
Husyev shared the update on X page, Caliber.Az reports.
“Honored to welcome the newly appointed Ambassador to Mr. Kang Kymgu, to the Ukrainian Centre in Baku. Discussed expanding support for and strengthening bilateral cooperation. Wishing him success in his new role!” he wrote.
Kang Kymgu has been appointed as the new Ambassador of South Korea to Azerbaijan. Previously, he served as the Chargé d’Affaires of South Korea in Myanmar.
On May 23, 2025, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Kang Kymgu, who presented his credentials.
During their meeting, they discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in areas such as the economy, investment, education, agriculture, and healthcare.
They also focused on collaboration within the framework of Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of CICA (Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia) and South Korea’s participation in international exhibitions in Baku.
