Azerbaijan to join European Sustainable Energy Week 2025 in Brussels
An Azerbaijani delegation led by Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov will take part in the European Sustainable Energy Week 2025 (EUSEW2025), which opens today, June 10, in Brussels.
Minister Shahbazov is scheduled to deliver a speech at the conference, which brings together policymakers and energy leaders to discuss ways to achieve a fair and competitive green transition across Europe and beyond, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
In parallel, Shahbazov will meet with EU Commissioner for Energy and Housing Dan Jørgensen as part of the next round of the EU-Azerbaijan Energy Dialogue — a process that builds on earlier discussions held in Baku within the framework of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) and green energy Consultative Councils.
The talks will review progress in EU-Azerbaijan energy cooperation and explore future priorities, with a focus on the transition to clean energy. Key topics will include the development of renewable energy sources, energy efficiency policies, and efforts to curb methane emissions.
In addition, throughout the week, the European political capital will host various events organised by the European Commission, including the 10th annual International Energy Agency (IEA) Global Conference on Energy Efficiency.
