The computer-assisted command and staff exercises "Unshakable Brotherhood" will be held from June 12 to 19 in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, with the participation of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
Military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye has grown significantly in recent years, grounded in the strategic alliance formalised by the 2021 Shusha Declaration. The two countries, bound by shared ethnic, cultural, and political ties, have increasingly coordinated on defence and security matters, conducting regular joint military exercises aimed at strengthening interoperability and regional deterrence capabilities.
The "Unshakable Brotherhood" exercise series, first launched in 2021, has become a recurring symbol of this cooperation, with drills frequently held in Nakhchivan—a key strategic region bordering both Türkiye and Armenia. These exercises serve not only to enhance tactical coordination between the Azerbaijani and Turkish Armed Forces but also to demonstrate a united front in the face of regional challenges.
