Azerbaijani minister advances military partnerships at Indo Defence 2024 PHOTO
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defence Industry Vugar Mustafayev has held high-level meetings with senior officials and defence industry leaders to discuss expanding military-technical partnerships at the Indo Defence 2024 exhibition.
The Indo Defence 2024 exhibition opened on June 11 in the Indonesian capital Jakarta, bringing together key players in the global defence sector. Among the international participants is a delegation from the Republic of Azerbaijan, led by Mustafayev, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence Industry told Caliber.Az.
Indo Defence is one of the largest and most influential defence industry events in the Asia-Pacific region. Held every two years, the exhibition also includes parallel events: Indo Aerospace, Indo Marine, and Indo Security. During the exhibition, Mustafayev held high-level meetings with top officials and defence industry leaders, including Haluk Görgün, Chairman of Türkiye’s Defence Industry Agency, and Şuay Alpay, Türkiye’s Deputy Minister of National Defence.
He also met with senior representatives from Turkish firms HAVELSAN, Turkish Aerospace, and Roketsan, as well as Chinese defence giants CPMIEC and NORINCO, and the UAE’s EDGE Group. The talks also centred on enhancing bilateral cooperation in defence production. Indo Defence 2024 showcases the latest advancements in defence technology, spanning land, air, and naval systems. Highlights include innovations in cybersecurity, unmanned platforms, and next-generation combat solutions.
The event will continue through June 14, offering a platform for strategic dialogue and technology exchange among defense stakeholders from around the world.
