World Taekwondo Championship kicks off in Baku
Azerbaijan’s Baku city has kicked off World Taekwondo Championship at 09:00 on May 29.
The championship is being held in Baku Crystal Hall, Report informs.
One member of the Azerbaijani team will compete in Dayang on May 29.
In this vein, Javad Agayev (68 kg) with compete in the 1/32 finals against the winner of the Solomon Tefera (Ethiopia) - Eldar Kurmanaliev (Kyrgyzstan) pair.
On the first day of the championship, athletes in the 68 kg weight category and athletes in the 57 kg weight category will perform.
Some 87 athletes will perform in the competition among men in weight categories, and 59 athletes among women.
The 26th World Championship, which will be held May 29 - June 4, will be attended by 949 taekwondo athletes in 16 weight categories.
