Yerevan uninterested in normalisation of relations with Baku, MFA says
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has stated that Yerevan is not interested in the process of normalisation of relations with Baku, which is evidenced by the continuing refusal to provide Azerbaijan with minefield maps.
As earlier reported, another Azerbaijani citizen suffered from Armenia's mine terror, having exploded on a landmine in Gazakh’s Gushchu Ayrim village.
“Since 2020, 381 people have become victims of mine ruptures,” the ministry stressed, Caliber.Az reports
“Besides, Armenia still refuses to issue maps of mine-contaminated territories, which shows its disinterest in the process of normalisation of relations.
The international community should not turn a blind eye to Armenia's continuation of mine terror against Azerbaijan,” the Foreign Ministry stressed.
Notably, the mine incident, which occurred on October 14, involved a young man named Ilkin Sariyev, born in 2001, who was reported to have stepped on a mine and sustained injuries.
He has since been admitted to a local hospital for treatment.
