Zelenskyy believes sabotage acts on Polish railways bear Russian traces
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his belief that Russia is involved in recent acts of sabotage on the Polish railway.
He shared those views during a phone conversation with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Caliber.Az reports as shared by the Ukrainian leader via a Telegram statement.
They discussed the consequences of the latest Russian attacks on Ukrainian soil, with Tusk expressing his condolences over those killed in Ternopil and the dozens wounded in other regions. The President thanked Poland for its solidarity and reported that emergency restoration work continues in Ukraine.
Tusk also shared information from Polish law enforcement and intelligence regarding the railway sabotage, which had been organised using the social network Telegram and accompanied by a disinformation campaign against Ukraine. Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine faces similar subversive actions every day, including against railway infrastructure sites.
"All the facts point to a Russian trace. No one but the Russians is interested in this," Zelenskyy stressed.
Ukraine and Poland also agreed to establish a joint group to counter sabotage and prevent similar Russian operations in the future, with Zelenskyy emphasising that Kyiv is ready for full cooperation and information sharing.
