Azerbaijan’s top diplomat takes part in informal meeting of CICA foreign ministers
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has participated in an informal meeting of foreign ministers of the countries participating in the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) within the high-level week of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Bayramov spoke at the meeting chaired by Kazakhstan, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.
During the speech, attention was drawn to the need for stricter observance of the norms and principles of international law, primarily sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of borders, to ensure stability, and regional and international security.
The opening of the Zangazur corridor as soon as possible, according to the provisions of the Trilateral Statement after the 44-day Second Karabakh War, is important in terms of promoting peace and stability in the region, as well as developing local, interregional and transregional trade.
