Income figures in hospitality industry increases by 70% in 2022
Hospitality and accommodation properties have earned a total of 355.3 million manats (approx. $209 million) in 2022.
According to Report, referring to the State Statistics Committee, this is an increase of 1.7 times from 2021.
As reported, 59.6% of the income was generated from room charges, 28.4%from catering services, 3% from treatments and health care and the remaining 9% from other services.
The use of the single capacity hotels and hotel-type facilities during the reporting period was 15.7% (11.1% in 2021). The figures for various cities were as follows: 80.1% in Shabran, 37.6% in Naftalan, 27.8% in Guba, 26.2% in Beylegan, 24.1% in Lankaran, 23.8% in Baku, 20.0% in Aghjabedi, 19.7% in Gabala, 16.7% in Shusha, 23.7% in Sabirabad and 2% in other towns.
