Germany denies asylum to 43 Azerbaijani nationals

The requests by 43 Azerbaijani citizens to get asylum in Germany have been rejected by the country’s Federal Office for Migration and Refugees.

Lioba Hebauer, the Office spokesperson, made the statement, adding that eight Azerbaijani nationals were granted asylum in Germany in the first two months of 2023, Report informs.

"Only three of them were granted asylum according to the third paragraph of German migration law and five according to the fourth paragraph," she said.

The spokesperson said the applications of 55 Azerbaijani nationals had been forwarded to various countries and agencies.

From January through February this year, a total of 58,802 foreign nationals applied to Germany for asylum.
