Azerbaijani State Border Service prevents drug smuggling from Iran

The officers of the "Goytepe" border detachment of the Azerbaijani State Border Service prevented drug smuggling from Iran to Azerbaijan on the territory of the border outpost near Hajirustamli village of the Imishli district as part of measures to protect the state border and combat drug trafficking on March 17 at about 04:00 (GMT+4).

Residents of Ganja city Arzu Hasanov and Elchin Osanli were detained as a result of the search operations, the Azerbaijani State Border Service told Caliber.Az.

Three kilogrammes and 400 grammes of drugs were found and confiscated.

Investigative measures are being taken.
