Over 60% of voters vote in parliamentary elections in Turkmenistan UPDATED
According to the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of Turkmenistan, by 13:00 61.68 per cent of the electorate took part in parliamentary elections in Turkmenistan.
Some 61.91 per cent of the electorate voted for members of the Mejlis, 61.96 per cent for members of the provincial, etrap and municipal Khalk Maslakhaty and 61.96 per cent for the Gengesh, Caliber.Az reports, citing the TDH.
The election process is monitored by international and national observers.

Around 43.73 per cent of voters in the elections to Turkmenistan’s parliament has cast their ballots as of 11:00 on March 26.
The announcement came online by the Central Election Commission for Elections and Referenda in Turkmenistan, Caliber.Az reports, quoting Turkmenistan Today.
Voting began at 07:00 on March 26 and will run until 19:00. A total of 2,602 polling stations are open in the country.
